About Trep Group

As a consultant with two prominent national CPA firms, I was fortunate to have worked with many successful entrepreneurial clients.  We also worked with several large enterprise clients, but for me, the entrepreneurs were the most rewarding to work with.  And my career goals eventually shifted from climbing the corporate ladder to preparing for entrepreneurship.

There were many options.  I had some ideas for businesses to start.  I worked with a business broker to look at buying an existing business.  And I explored several franchise opportunities.  I eventually chose a franchise with a company that had done some remodeling work in my home, and started a home improvement remodeling company that I owned for twelve years. It was a business dependent upon continuous marketing and lead generation, and I learned the importance of systems and knowing your numbers.  Those numbers and metrics showed that traditional marketing sources such as newspapers, yellow pages, and direct mail were becoming less effective, while inbound marketing efforts consistently generated more leads and sales.  The data allowed me to confidently shift resources and improve the marketing mix and ROI.
